Singapore media reported that China was producing fake rice
Some Chinese companies have been involved for years in various scandals involving fake or contaminated goods. China Plastic Rice
According to the Korean Language "Hong Kong Week" (which many Vietnamese website also references), Media Singapore stated that the fake rice being distributed in the Chinese city of Taiyuan, Shaanxi province. This "rice" is a combination of potatoes, sweet potatoes, and plastic. It is formed by mixing potato and sweet potato into the shape of rice grains, then add the synthetic resin industry. Because rice does not behave like normal rice, remains difficult even after it has been cooked. Synthetic resins can also be very dangerous if consumed.
